Our Academic Plan

The Brooklyn School for Math and Research emphasis on preparing all students for college and career readiness after high school is supported by an academically rigorous and challenging curriculum.

The typical school day consists of eight 49-minute class periods and all students are required to complete a minimum of 44 credits for graduation. The Brooklyn School for Math and Research administers all New York State Regents examinations required for graduation. Focused and challenging electives enhance the required course of study.

Curricular offerings range from traditional and honors courses that cultivate critical thinking skills as well as AP courses in the subject areas of African American Studies, Biology, Calculus, Capstone (Research), English Composition,  Computer Science, Seminar, Statistics, and U. S. History.
